Will a Ruger LCP Shoot Without The Magazine Installed?

Yes, it will fire properly without a magazine installed. Last week I was at the range shooting my Ruger LCP. Since I have not tried it before, I decided to see what it feels like to shoot it without a magazine in the gun. After loading a round into the chamber I removed the magazine and fired at the target which was about 20 feet away. The LCP shot accurately but I discovered that I had a stove pipe sticking out of the slide. This was the first one that I have experienced with this gun. I discussed this with my friend who suggested that it may be a case of limp wristing. By removing the magazine I made the gun even lighter than it was and made it harder to hold onto (the grip is smaller without the magazine installed).
